Warehouse Operative
Location: Santry
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (Flexibility required for overtime)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Noel Group are seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team. This is a key role responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while ensuring high standards of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment handling a variety of tasks including goods receipt, inventory management, order preparation, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with operations teams to confirm vehicle arrival times for loading/unloading
- Load and unload freight using a Counterbalance forklift
- Receive and process inbound goods accurately
- Complete and maintain manifest out-turns for dispatch operations
- Store stock using Reach Truck (up to 8m racking) and ensure correct put-away
- Accurately process goods receipts in the warehouse management system (SAP)
- Pick and pack orders following FIFO principles with high attention to detail
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including pallet building and carton labelling
- Load trailers and containers based on manifest and delivery sequence
- Process and label courier shipments using relevant IT systems
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and contractors as required
- Enter customer collections into courier IT systems
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts
- Perform daily forklift checks and weekly warehouse inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment (including loading bays)
- Restrict access to unauthorized personnel and ensure trailer security during loading
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and management teams
- Complete any additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences
- In-date Manual Handling Certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in accurate stock picking and order fulfilment
- Strong computer literacy, especially with warehouse management systems
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
Desirable Skills
- Experience packing food products to HACCP standards
- Familiarity with freight or courier IT systems
- Aviation Security Training (Module 11)
- Dangerous Goods Awareness certification
