Job Title: Hotel Sous Chef
Location: Carrigaline, Co. Cork
Salary: €48,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for a Sous Chef to join the culinary team of a high-end hotel property in Carrigaline, Co. Cork.

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen. This is a hands-on role that requires leadership, creativity, and high culinary standards. You will contribute to menu development, ensure consistent food quality, oversee kitchen operations, and maintain strict health and safety protocols.

The Duties:

  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.

  • Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high performance.

  • Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation at all times.

  • Contribute to menu planning and recipe development.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.

  • Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction.

  • Maintain a clean and efficient working environment.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume hotel or restaurant.

  • Excellent culinary skills with a strong understanding of modern food trends and techniques.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.

  • HACCP certified with excellent knowledge of food safety standards.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings.

  • Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

  • Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
