Job description

Noel Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate social liaison officer to join our clients team and be the welcoming face of their organization. Our client is a leading contract catering company dedicated to providing exceptional service nationwide.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting residents, particularly those with special reception needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate assistance and access to services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Resident Support: Provide direct support to residents, especially those with special needs, helping them access services from state authorities, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community support organizations.
  • Identify Needs: Proactively identify and respond to the needs of vulnerable residents, ensuring they receive appropriate care and services.
  • Coordination: Assist residents in connecting with family and child support agencies, trauma counselling services, local community groups, NGOs, and religious organizations.
  • Liaison: Communicate emerging needs to the client welfare team promptly, following instructions and ensuring the well-being of all residents.
  • Training: Attend and participate in training sessions as required to stay informed about best practices and updates in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a QQI Level 7 qualification in social care, equality, inter-culturalism, diversity, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven experience in social care, with a focus on equality, interculturalism, or diversity is essential.
  • Strong ability to identify and address special reception needs, with a compassionate approach to resident care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Full drivers licence and access to own vehicle.
