Senior Maintenance Technician (Carpentry Focus)

Industry: Hospitality (Hotels, Bars, and Restaurants)
Location: Various hospitality venues across Dublin, with travel to venues in Ballsbridge (van provided)

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician with strong carpentry skills to take a lead role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of multiple high-profile hospitality venues. This role requires a well-rounded tradesperson who can handle more complex tasks and guide junior team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute maintenance tasks across multiple hospitality sites

• Perform advanced carpentry and joinery repairs and installations

• Diagnose and resolve plumbing and electrical issues

• Maintain HVAC systems in collaboration with external contractors if needed

• Oversee furniture repairs, wall treatments, and fittings replacement

• Conduct fire safety system checks and liaise with compliance services

• Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance plans

• Coordinate with venue managers and report on works completed

• Support training and oversight of junior maintenance staff

• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance or facilities technician role

• Strong carpentry/joinery background is essential

• Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hospitality standards

• Full, clean Irish (or EU) driving licence – van provided for travel between venues
