Quantity Surveyor

I am really excited to bring this opportunity to the market. My client, a leading construction firm, is looking for a skilled and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their Dublin based office. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Complete detailed package and material budgets
• Complete detailed tender packs
• Award subcontracts
• Complete Value engineering and options analysis etc
• Administer key package cashflow and interim invoices etc
• Manage retention for each package
• Complete re-measures upon completion of packages and agree final accounts
• Preparation and management of subcontractors, suppliers and material procurement schedules
• Create a procurement schedule for the project
• Conduct periodic review of works to identify appropriate cost saving measures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience working as a quantity surveyor working with a main contractor, or a developer in an Irish Market.
• Experience working on high density apartments, and low density housing would be a distinct advantage.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and cost management.
• Relevant degree in the field is an advantage.
• Must be competent in managing budgets, tendering packages, and post contract cost management.
• Comfortable working from both site based office and head office
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and cost management.
