Pastry Chef

Job description

Here at the Noel Group, we are recruiting for an experienced pastry chef to join our clients team in Cavan. You will be responsible for creating and preparing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of baking techniques. This is a very busy role which is responsible for all the desserts, afternoon teas etc. for the venue.

Hours usually 8am-4pm, 5 days out of 7

Responsibilities:

• To prepare and produce food for the Pastry area which you are assigned and to the agreed standard, in conjunction with other chefs
• To minimize wastage with rational use of stack rotation etc.
• Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations
• To ensure the guests needs and requirements are met
• Condifent in afternoon tea preperation
• Plan and organize production schedules to ensure that all desserts and pastries are prepared in a timely manner, especially during peak service hours. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Stay updated on the latest pastry trends, techniques, and equipment.
• To ensure all necessary mis-en-place is ready prior to service

Requirements:

• Demonstrated history in similar busy hotel kitchen environment
• Permission to work & reside in Ireland
• Fluent spoken & written English
• Ability to follow instruction / recipes
• Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team
• Creative with attention to detail
