Job Title: Pastry Chef

Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef

We are looking for a talented and motivated Pastry Chef to join the dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and consistently aim for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards
- Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head chef to ensure a successful working environment.
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation across all dishes
- Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
- Monitoring and Ordering the stock.
- To operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials
- Ensure that all food is prepared in line with health and safety regulations
- Support junior staff with training and guidance as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your work area
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front of house
- Monitor stock and report any shortages or discrepancies
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* hotel environment
- A genuine passion for food and a flair for creativity
- Be HACCP trained and hygiene focused
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
