Job description

Looking for a kitchen assistant to work in our clients production kitchen. Supporting chefs and kitchen teams in maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, in accordance with HACCP regulations and cleaning procedures. Ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking and looking to kick start their career in food industry.

39hr per week / 5 days over 7 rotating schedule / 7am to 4pm shift

Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, meats, and other food items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors
  • Ensure food hygiene and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to support the overall operation of the production kitchen
  • Ability to work efficiently and keep calm in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Valid work permit essential
  • Good level of English (verbal and written)
  • Experience in food service/catering desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
