Human Resources Executive – Full-Time, Hospitality Sector, East Cork

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Executive to join a leading 4-star hotel in East Cork, renowned for its commitment to excellence and people-first culture. This is a full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday), with some flexibility available for the right candidate.

As Human Resources Executive, you will oversee the day-to-day HR operations within the hotel, reporting directly to the General Manager and Group HR Manager. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive working environment, supporting departmental managers, and driving key HR initiatives across recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily HR administrative functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations

  • Promote a culture of employee engagement through open communication and people-focused initiatives

  • Support line managers in all HR matters including recruitment, performance management, training, and development

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes from advertising to onboarding

  • Ensure new starters have a structured, professional, and welcoming induction experience

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with GDPR and best practice

  • Coordinate statutory and ad hoc training requirements, including refresher sessions

  • Support the disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring processes are fair and compliant

  • Prepare and submit weekly payroll data

  • Implement group-wide HR initiatives within the hotel

  • Monitor absenteeism and help drive improvements in attendance and wellbeing

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for all employee queries, ensuring timely and professional responses

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Human Resources Management (or working towards one)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role, ideally within hospitality or a similar fast-paced sector

  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

  • High emotional intelligence with proven ability to manage conflict sensitively and effectively

  • Confident in supporting and advising senior managers

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
