Are you a passionate and experienced Head Chef looking for your next exciting challenge? We’re hiring a talented and motivated Chef to lead the kitchen in a busy, well-established bar and restaurant in the heart of Cork City.
This is a temporary hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working with fresh ingredients, and enjoys mentoring a team. For the right candidate, this role has strong potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations

Lead and support a team of kitchen staff

Design and update menus based on seasonal produce and customer trends

Maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, and hygiene

Monitor and manage food cost, stock levels, and waste

Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations

Collaborate with management on menu planning and business strategy
Requirements:
-
You must be currently living in Ireland and eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland

Manual Handling and Food Safety Level 2 certifications (training can be provided)

Unfortunately, visa sponsorship and relocation packages are not available for this role

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role

Manual Handling and Food Safety Level 2 (can be provided)

Strong culinary skills, with a passion for modern Irish and international cuisine

Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills

Solid understanding of food costings, kitchen financials, and best practices

HACCP certified and confident in maintaining health & safety standards
