Job Title: Head Chef – Contract Catering
Location: Cork City
Salary: €50,000 per annum
Schedule: Daytime Hours | Monday to Friday (No Late Nights or Weekends)

The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to recruit an experienced Head Chef for a leading contract catering site in Cork. This is a rare opportunity for a culinary professional to lead a kitchen team in a daytime-only, weekday setting – ideal for chefs seeking excellent work-life balance without compromising on quality or standards.

As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen operation, from menu planning and food production to compliance and team leadership. You will deliver consistently high-quality, nutritious, and innovative meals in a fast-paced, high-volume catering environment, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth food service delivery.

  • Plan, cost, and execute menus with a focus on variety, nutrition, and presentation.

  • Manage and motivate the kitchen team, supporting training and development.

  • Maintain food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Monitor stock, ordering, and wastage to maximise efficiency and cost control.

  • Liaise with the client and front-of-house teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Uphold brand values and promote a culture of excellence within the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in catering, hotels, or large-scale hospitality.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen teams.

  • Strong understanding of food costing, HACCP, allergens, and kitchen compliance.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Passion for fresh, seasonal food and a high standard of culinary presentation.

  • Candidates must be currently living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

  • Visa sponsorship and relocation packages are not provided for this role.
