About the Role:

We are the Noel Group are delighted to share that we will be helping one of our most prestigious clients search for their next Head Chef. The Noel Group is a leading Recruiting agency that operates nationwide in wide a range of markets.

We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a well-established, high-volume seafood restaurant located on the scenic west coast of County Clare. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a destination venue known for its fresh, locally sourced seafood and strong reputation for quality.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the culinary operation, delivering consistently excellent dishes, and upholding the highest standards in food quality, safety, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that showcase fresh local seafood
  • Maintain all health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and EHO requirements
  • Manage food cost, portion control, and stock rotation
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and consistency of ingredients
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Drive a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and excellence in the kitchen

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen
  • Strong background in seafood preparation and Irish/European cuisine
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Deep understanding of kitchen financials, food safety, and team management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for sourcing and showcasing local, seasonal ingredients
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods
