Here at the Noel Group, we’re currently in search of an experienced Restaurant General Manager. Our
Client restaurant serves over 2000 customers each week and has a team of more than 30 employees. We’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in management, food, and wine to oversee daily restaurant operations.

As the Restaurant General Manager, your main responsibilities will be ensuring exceptional service, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability. Your expertise is essential in improving the overall dining experience and driving the success of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service to provide an exceptional dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menus, ensuring they are aligned with customer preferences and current culinary trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and beverages, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and motivate a skilled team of servers, bartenders, and support staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Schedule and manage staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours while optimizing labor costs.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Train and educate staff on wine pairings, proper service techniques, and wine knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, and promptly address any customer concerns or complaints to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Interact with guests, providing wine recommendations, sharing knowledge about different varietals, and assisting in food and wine pairings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular patrons, promoting repeat business and creating a loyal customer base.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience, such as organizing wine tasting events or sommelier-led evenings.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability, and take necessary actions to optimize financial results.
  • Develop and manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Implement effective pricing strategies for wines and other beverages to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing initiatives and promotions to attract new customers and increase revenue.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a busy establishment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Irish Market, food & beverage.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and handle customer concerns.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Living in Ireland and the right to work in ROI
