We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our cliet team and oversee all financial operations of the hotel. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our establishment and ensure the highest level of financial integrity.

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of our client hotel. You will play a vital role in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in financial management, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail will be crucial in driving the financial success of our hotel.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize revenue generation, control costs, and maximize profitability.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic revenue and expense projections.
  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Manage the payroll process, ensuring compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure financial compliance and integrity, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting on key performance indicators, variances, and trends to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools to support business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry or boutique hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Proficient in financial management systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and tax laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing a team.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
