Location: Santry
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (Flexibility required for overtime)
Salary: Negotiable, DOE
Noel Group are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Driver to join our client’s team in a dual-function role. The successful candidate will be responsible for local deliveries and collections, as well as supporting daily warehouse operations. This role is key to ensuring efficient logistics, high standards of accuracy, and exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company van for local deliveries and collections.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
- Build strong relationships with distribution contacts and represent the company professionally.
- Drive in accordance with RSA regulations and all legal requirements.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain vehicle security and report any concerns immediately.
- Liaise with operations teams via phone/email to coordinate delivery times.
- Load and unload freight vehicles using Counterbalance Forklift.
- Accurately complete manifest out-turns for dispatch.
- Store goods safely using Reach Truck (racks up to 8 metres high).
- Record goods received using warehouse management systems.
- Pick and pack orders using FIFO principles with high accuracy.
- Build pallets and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Load export trailers and containers per manifest requirements.
- Perform regular stock takes and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, including outside and loading bays.
- Restrict unauthorized access to warehouse areas and secure trailers before loading.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences.
- In-date Manual Handling Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Proven record of accurate stock picking.
- Proficient in data entry and use of warehouse management systems.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Customer-focused mindset.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in van driving, including route and load planning.
- Knowledge of food handling and HACCP standards.
- Familiarity with freight or courier IT systems.
- Aviation Security Training (Module 11).
- Dangerous Goods Awareness certification.
