Here at Noel Group we are seeking an experienced and motivated Deli Manager for our client in Fermoy to oversee the daily operations of our deli department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of service, quality, and hygiene. This Deli Manager role requires strong organisational abilities, experience in food handling, and a customer-focused approach to ensure the deli meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise all deli staff, ensuring a high level of performance and team motivation.

  • Oversee the preparation, presentation, and sale of fresh deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods.

  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations are adhered to in accordance with local standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels, order stock efficiently, and minimize wastage.

  • Maintain exceptional customer service, handling inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase deli sales and profitability.

  • Train and develop staff in food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service best practices.

  • Schedule and delegate daily tasks effectively to maximize efficiency.

  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet company and industry standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked deli department.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and product availability.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Deli Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar role in a retail or food service setting.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in stock management, cost control, and budgeting.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Basic proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) is preferred.

Salary:

  • €35,000
