The Noel Group is a leading recruitment agency operating nationwide across a wide range of sectors. Our client, a well-known branded hotel in Limerick, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join their culinary team.

As the Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations, menu development, and team management. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met, while also mentoring junior chefs and contributing to the overall success of the culinary department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in menu creation, kitchen management, and food service operations.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and preparation standards are consistently upheld.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage stock levels, place orders, and monitor food cost to ensure profitability.
• Oversee kitchen hygiene, health & safety standards, and food safety regulations.
• Step in for the Head Chef during their absence and take responsibility for all kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth service across the hotel.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, preferably within a branded hotel or high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences.
• Must be currently residing in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
• Visa and relocation packages are not provided.
