Role: Breakfast Chef
Location: Luxury Hotel, Co. Cavan
Role Type: Full-Time | Permanent (Morning shifts, including weekends)
Reports To: Head Chef / Executive Chef

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and reliable Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen team at a prestigious 4-star hotel in Co. Cavan. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the early hours and takes pride in delivering exceptional breakfast service to guests in a luxury setting.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes with efficiency and consistency, while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly during the morning service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard
- Set up and break down the breakfast station and buffet
- Ensure all food preparation is carried out efficiently and on time
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver smooth breakfast service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with HACCP regulations
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Head Chef
- Contribute to menu ideas for seasonal or special offerings when required
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar breakfast chef or early-shift chef role
- Strong knowledge of breakfast service operations (buffet, à la carte, or plated service)
- Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage morning prep without supervision
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for cooking
- HACCP certification and knowledge of food safety regulations
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required
