Job Title: Bar Manager
Location: Portarlington, Co. Laois
Salary: €40,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to join their team in Portarlington.
As Bar Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of a busy and vibrant bar within a well-established hospitality venue. You will lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure smooth operational efficiency, and maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance. You will also play a key role in managing stock, driving revenue, and developing the bar’s offering to meet guest expectations and exceed performance targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring excellent service standards at all times.

Manage and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Lead on stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain effective inventory levels.

Implement and monitor hygiene, health, and safety compliance in line with industry standards.

Develop creative drinks menus, promotions, and events to drive revenue and enhance the customer experience.

Manage budgets, margins, and KPI performance.

Provide regular training and development to bar staff.

Collaborate closely with other departments and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a Bar Manager or similar supervisory role within a busy bar or hospitality venue.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a team.

Sound understanding of bar operations, stock control, licensing laws, and health & safety.

Excellent customer service skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

Passion for hospitality, drinks, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
