Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high service standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations and maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor sales and expenses, implementing cost control measures where necessary.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits; manage ordering, receiving, and stock levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive creativity in the bar’s offerings, introducing new ideas and promotions to increase footfall and sales.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Ensure all drinks are consistently prepared and served to the highest quality.
  • Host regular staff meetings and performance reviews to support growth and development.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints in a professional and effective manner.
  • Champion excellent customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume bar or restaurant (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, financial oversight, and service delivery.
  • Skilled mixologist with a deep understanding of cocktails, spirits, and bar trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and supplier negotiations.
  • Passion for hospitality and a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing laws.
