Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high service standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations and maximise customer satisfaction.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
- Monitor sales and expenses, implementing cost control measures where necessary.
- Conduct regular inventory audits; manage ordering, receiving, and stock levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive creativity in the bar’s offerings, introducing new ideas and promotions to increase footfall and sales.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Ensure all drinks are consistently prepared and served to the highest quality.
- Host regular staff meetings and performance reviews to support growth and development.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints in a professional and effective manner.
- Champion excellent customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume bar or restaurant (minimum 2 years).
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, financial oversight, and service delivery.
- Skilled mixologist with a deep understanding of cocktails, spirits, and bar trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and supplier negotiations.
- Passion for hospitality and a customer-first mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing laws.
