Job Title: Bakery/Finisher Manager
Location: Bunclody, Wexford
Role Type: Full-time or part-time (flexible, ideally 39 hours/week)
Reports To: Head of Kitchen

The Noel Group is a leading recruitment agency operating nationwide across the hospitality sector. We’re proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for a talented Baker/Finisher Manager to overlook a busy Café.

An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled and passionate Bakery Manager to lead a small team in the production of occasion cakes, traditional cakes, and fresh breads for both on-site and off-site café outlets. This role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on experience in baking and is now ready to step into a leadership position, with full support from a collaborative kitchen and café team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a small team of bakers and finishers
  • Liaise with suppliers to maintain product quality and control costs
  • Complete weekly stocktakes and place ingredient orders
  • Prepare and manage fortnightly staff rotas
  • Train and upskill new and current team members
  • Follow existing in-house recipes and introduce new creations
  • Maintain HACCP monitoring and documentation
  • Collaborate with team leaders across the kitchen and café teams
  • Ensure systems are updated and records are kept accurately
  • Monitor bakery equipment, report issues, and manage repairs

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a baker, pastry chef, or cake finisher
  • Strong practical baking knowledge with a hands-on approach
  • Passion for high-quality food and pride in your craft
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, early-start environments
  • Excellent communication, time management, and delegation skills
  • A team player who contributes positively to a supportive work culture
  • Customer-focused mindset and pride in product presentation
  • Flexible availability, including early morning starts (5:00 AM)
