General Operative

JOB OVERVIEW

The role of the General Operative & Reach Stacker is to provide assistance in the workshop and yard. You will report to the Shift Supervisor and Workshop Manager and ensure that all tasks are carried out with health & safety at the forefront.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Connecting and disconnecting tanks for heating

* Collecting and distributing HGV parts and materials

* Shunting trailers to Test Centre

* Driving the container reach stacker/handler

* Inventory management

* Verify product and tanks correctly

* Keep the yard clean and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment

* Cleaning and maintaining equipment

* General housekeeping of the site

* General ad hoc duties, as requested by Management

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. The position involves ensuring the company, its depots and its employees are operationally informed and accountable of all Operative matters.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

EDUCATION:

* Leaving Certificate or equivalent

* Full clean Drivers License (CE License would be an advantage, but not essential)

EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum 2 years General Operative / Similar

* Reach Stacker Licence an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be provided
