Job description

Position: General Operative – Dublin North

I am recruiting a General Operative with Reach forklift licence to provide assistance in the workshop and yard of my client in North Dublin. You will report to the Shift Supervisor and Workshop Manager and ensure that all tasks are carried out with health & safety at the forefront.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific Roles

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Connecting and disconnecting tanks for heating

· Collecting and distributing HGV parts and materials

· Shunting trailers to Test Centre

· Driving the container reach stacker/handler

· Inventory management

· Verify product and tanks correctly

· Keep the yard clean and free from hazards to ensure a safe working environment

· Cleaning and maintaining equipment

· General ad hoc duties, as requested by Management

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIES

Education

· Leaving Certificate or equivalent

· Full clean Drivers License (CE License would be an advantage, but not essential)

Experience

· Minimum 2 years General Operative / Similar

· Reach Stacker Licence an advantage, but not necessary as full training will be provided

Competencies

· Good problem solver

· Ability to use initiative

· Excellent communication skills

· Fluent written and spoken English

· Diligence

· Health & Safety conscious

Hours of work: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
