Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Administrator
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (overtime may be required)
Salary: €34,000 – €37,000 (DOE)

Overview

A well-established logistics and warehousing organisation is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Administrator to join its operations team.

This is a varied role combining hands-on warehouse duties with administrative responsibilities, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with operations teams via phone and email to confirm vehicle arrival times for loading and unloading.
  • Load and unload freight vehicles using Counterbalance forklift.
  • Receive inbound goods and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Prepare accurate manifests for operational teams.
  • Put stock away into warehouse storage locations using Reach forklift trucks (racking up to approx. 8 metres).
  • Process goods receipts and stock movements using the warehouse management system.
  • Pick and pack orders from stock using FIFO principles, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Prepare outbound orders, including pallet building and staging for dispatch.
  • Load export groupage trailers and containers according to delivery manifests.
  • Process and label parcel shipments on courier systems.
  • Enter collection details and shipment data into courier and logistics IT systems.
  • Communicate with external customers, suppliers and contractors where required.
  • Liaise with internal departments including operations, finance and management.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and support stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Ensure the warehouse environment remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
  • Complete daily forklift equipment checks and weekly racking inspections.
  • Maintain loading bay safety and ensure trailers are secured before loading.
  • Monitor warehouse access and ensure only authorised personnel enter operational areas.
  • Carry out additional duties as required to support warehouse operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences
  • Manual Handling certification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Proven experience with accurate stock picking and warehouse processes
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with teams across different departments
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a busy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and customer-focused approach

Desirable Skills

  • Experience handling or packing food shipments to HACCP standards
  • Experience using freight or courier logistics systems
  • Aviation Security Training (Module 11)
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
