Role: Transport Planner

Job Type: Permanent/Full time

Location: Ashbourne, Co Meath

Start Date: As soon as possible

Noel Group are currently partnered with a top Logistics company that operate a fleet of 55 HGV’s across Ireland and Europe servicing various industry sectors including the food, retail and pharma industries. They also offer warehousing services from their base in Ashbourne.

We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and professional domestic/export/import planners based at our office in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

Responsibilities include:

• Effectively scheduling and monitoring job orders received from our clients using our transport management software.
• Coordinate and organise loads/orders with the transportation team and drivers.
• Plan, manage and consolidate loads and routes to ensure cost effective transportation and that orders are completed on time.
• Work closely with drivers to ensure jobs are in line with customer requirements and specifications.
• Engage directly with clients to provide regular updates on job collection/delivery times.
• Routine Administration & General Office Duties.

Applicant Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with clear decision-making and the ability to work within a team on multiple tasks, as well as being self-reliant and self-directed.
• Confident communicator with great organisational skills and the ability to present themselves clearly & effectively.
• Excellent computer skills are essential.
