Our client is a market-leading DIY, Home & Garden retailer with a significant presence in Ireland, including 35 shops and a successful online platform. Their purpose is to assist clients in achieving their home renovation goals by offering high-quality items, expert guidance, and great customer service.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and encouraging a team of employees to ensure the store’s success. You will be in charge of providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service and addressing customer queries
  • Oversee daily store operations, including cash control, inventory management, merchandising, and store cleanliness
  • Lead, mentor, and encourage a team of retail workers to accomplish sales targets while providing great customer service
  • Train and develop team members to improve their product knowledge and sales abilities.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with store management to implement strategies for sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Authorizing and handling refunds and exchanges
  • Assist with team talent and succession planning, conduct performance appraisals and support recruiting staff as needed.
  • Follow health & safety regulations and maintain company’s standards to provide safe work environment

Requirements:

  • Live in Ireland and have the right to work in ROI.
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a retail leadership role, sales or operations, preferably in the DIY, Home & Garden, or related industry
  • Proven track record of people management skills, previous experience managing +10 people team
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • comfortable holding performance-related discussions when needed
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of DIY, home improvement, or related products is a plus
