Store General Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Retail Store Manager as Store Manager; you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of the store. You will lead a team of employees to provide excellent customer service, achieve sales goals, and ensure that the store operates efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily store operations, including customer service, inventory management, cash handling, and merchandising
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve profitability
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of employees, including setting goals, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
• Monitor and analyse sales and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and community organisations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store environment
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and financial analysis
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
