Job Title: Staff Nurse

Location: Kinsale, Co. Cork

Contract: Full-Time

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with older persons
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards
  • A valid NMBI decision letter
  • A valid NMBI PIN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Care, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Senior Staff Nurse in the delivery of high-quality care
  • Maintain the highest professional, ethical, and clinical standards
  • Adhere to NMBI guidelines on medication administration and the Misuse of Drugs Act
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all information acquired during the course of employment
  • Deliver induction training to new nursing and care staff
  • Ensure residents receive individualised, person-centred assessments and care plans, reviewed and updated as care needs change
  • Provide holistic nursing care tailored to each resident’s needs
  • Develop positive, professional relationships with residents and their families, ensuring clear and effective communication
  • Supervise and allocate duties to care assistants
