We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a hospital setting in Dublin, Ireland. The Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menu offerings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Adherence to strict hygiene and food safety standards.
