Site Manager – Retail (South Dublin)

Location: South Dublin

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Site Manager to lead a busy convenience store operation in South Dublin.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable running of the site, delivering excellent standards in customer service, fresh food, merchandising, and compliance.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys leading and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance

  • Oversee the efficient day-to-day running of the store

  • Achieve sales, margin, and waste targets while maintaining high operational standards

  • Ensure store presentation, merchandising, and customer care align with brand standards

  • Implement and maintain HACCP and hygiene compliance across all departments

  • Control stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and manage overheads within budget

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the store team through coaching, training, and performance management

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture

  • Manage rosters, annual leave, and HR administration

Financial & Back Office Management

  • Oversee daily cash reconciliations, lodgements, and reporting

  • Ensure accuracy in financial and operational data entry

  • Monitor KPIs and business reports, taking proactive actions to meet targets

Customer Service

  • Lead by example to ensure exceptional customer experiences

  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with legislation and company policy

  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and welfare regulations

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail management or assistant management role

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing KPIs and financial reports

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and delegation skills

  • Enthusiastic, hands-on leader with a genuine passion for retail
