Job description

Site Engineer |

The Opportunity: I am currently partnering with one of Ireland’s most respected Head Contractors to secure a Site Agent for their expanding Water & Utilities division. This is a business known for winning major Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) frameworks and offering clear pathways to Project Management.

If you are a Civil Engineer with a “contractor-first” mindset and a deep understanding of Irish water standards, this is a chance to lead high-value projects across the Greater Dublin and Leinster regions.

The Role:

  • Site Leadership: Manage the technical delivery of water/wastewater networks, pumping stations, and treatment upgrades.

  • UÉ Standards: Act as the on-site subject matter expert for Uisce Éireann Codes of Practice, ensuring all works meet rigorous compliance and QA/QC benchmarks.

  • Operations: Drive site productivity, manage sub-contractors, and oversee complex setting out/surveying using the latest Leica/Trimble technology.

  • Safety & Quality: Take full ownership of site health and safety and the “As-Built” documentation process for final handover.

The Candidate:

  • Irish Experience: Essential. You must have a minimum of 3+ years working on-site for a Head Contractor in Ireland.

  • Water Pedigree: Proven track record delivering projects specifically under the Uisce Éireann / Irish Water framework.

  • Technical Savvy: Degree in Civil Engineering with a full, clean Irish driving license.

  • Leadership: Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams on the ground.

Why this client? My client is not just a “job provider”-they are a career builder. They have a massive pipeline of work secured, meaning genuine job security and the opportunity to work on some of the most complex infrastructure upgrades in the country.

Package:

  • Highly competitive base salary (DOE).

  • Company vehicle / Car allowance.

  • Pension, Healthcare, and Performance Bonus.
