Job Title: Senior Chef de Partie
Location: Cork City, Ireland
Salary: €18 per hour
Hours: 4-day working week (full-time equivalent)


About the Role

Our client, a busy and well-established restaurant in Cork, is seeking an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join their high-volume kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where creativity, skill, and efficiency are highly valued.

As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes, managing your section, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the restaurant’s high standards.

  • Manage your section independently while maintaining consistent quality during busy service periods.

  • Assist in menu preparation and contribute ideas to daily specials.

  • Ensure correct portioning, plating, and presentation of all dishes.

  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene, following health and safety regulations.

  • Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.

  • Work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.

  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and rotation of ingredients in your section.


Person Specification

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume, busy kitchen.

  • Strong technical cooking skills and knowledge of modern and classic culinary techniques.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

  • Strong team player with the ability to lead your section and support colleagues.

  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to high-quality food and service.

  • Ideally, culinary qualification or relevant professional experience.
