About the Role

Noel Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Sales & Events Manager on behalf of a well-established hospitality client. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially focused professional to take ownership of sales activity, events coordination, and local marketing initiatives within a busy hotel environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth across corporate, leisure, conferences, weddings, and events, while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring a high level of service delivery. The role combines reactive and proactive sales, event planning, and strong networking within the local market.

Key Responsibilities

Reactive Sales

  • Manage and respond promptly and professionally to all incoming sales and event enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Provide detailed information on facilities, services, packages, and pricing to prospective clients.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and follow-up communications to secure bookings.
  • Track and manage all enquiries through the company CRM system to maximise conversion rates.
  • Report on lost business opportunities and provide feedback to improve packages, menus, and services.

Proactive Sales

  • Identify and target new corporate clients, agencies, and groups to generate new business.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to support sales strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate bookers and agencies to encourage repeat business.

Sales & Promotional Planning

  • Work collaboratively with the wider sales team to develop and implement sales and promotional plans across key business segments including corporate, leisure, conferences, weddings, and events.
  • Support marketing initiatives by coordinating promotional campaigns and materials aligned with sales objectives.
  • Analyse sales performance and market trends to optimise revenue opportunities.

Events & Wedding Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients planning weddings and events.
  • Conduct consultations with couples and event clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets.
  • Present suitable event and wedding packages tailored to client requirements.
  • Coordinate event logistics with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the planning process.
  • Ensure clear event documentation and function sheets are prepared for operational teams.

Networking & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships within the local business community to generate referrals and new opportunities.
  • Attend networking events and industry functions to promote the hotel and expand professional connections.
  • Act as a brand ambassador within the local market.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure all in-house promotional materials are up to date and aligned with current campaigns.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide feedback on results.

Performance & Reporting

  • Contribute to regular sales meetings and provide updates on sales performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and revenue generation strategies.
  • Work towards key performance indicators including revenue targets, booking conversion rates, weddings sold, and client retention.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Sales, Events, or Sales & Marketing role within hospitality
  • Strong background in wedding and events coordination
  • Proven ability to generate new business and build long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Experience managing high volumes of enquiries and event bookings
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of revenue generation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to deliver successful events
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach
