Quality Assurance Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager for a client based in Longford. The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of a robust Quality Management system across the design, manufacture, and site-based activities of the business. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to enforce stringent quality control standards across all stages of the construction process.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality assurance programs for offsite construction projects.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of construction activities, offsite assembly processes, and completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party inspections and audit as needed.
  • Work closely with our design, procurement, and manufacturing departments to monitor and address quality-related issues throughout the manufacturing and site-based process.
  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare quality reports, documentation, and assessments to track project performance for senior management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in quality management, safety, and operational efficiencies.
  • Train and mentor Quality Technicians and site-based personnel on quality control standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance role with a focus on the construction sector or engineering sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and enforcing quality control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of quality management systems, inspection tools, and techniques.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Day-to-day:

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality standards are met at all stages of the construction process.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Analyze quality-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and assessments to senior management.
