Mechanical Pipe Fitter
Noel Group is proud to represent a leading Irish engineering services provider specialising in the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and environmental solutions across the water and wastewater sector in Ireland.
This Mechanical Pipe Fitter role sits within an experienced Mechanical Team and supports the delivery of new installations as well as the maintenance and repair of equipment. The position involves preparing site works, including completing Permits to Work and Safe Plans of Action, and ensuring a safe working area at all times. Mechanical equipment and pipework must be installed to a high professional standard, with a strong focus on neat and tidy workmanship that allows safe access and operation for the end user. The role requires full compliance with both company and client safety standards and close liaison with clients during installations to ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of a Mechanical Team delivering new installations and carrying out maintenance and repair works
* Prepare site works including Permits to Work, Safe Plans of Action, and safe work areas
* Install equipment to a professional, neat, and tidy standard
* Ensure installations allow safe access and operation for end users
* Comply with stringent safety standards set by the company and its clients
* Liaise with clients during installation to ensure safety and quality compliance
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision
* Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant installations
* Experience installing Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron, and PVC pipework across all size ranges
* Experience installing equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, augers, penstocks, platforms, and access equipment
* Experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of chemical systems, including bulk storage tanks, kiosks, chemical dosing pumps, chemical dosing pipelines, double-contained pipework, and associated instrumentation
* Experience working with chemicals used in water and wastewater treatment processes, including Aluminium Sulphate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Polymers, Sulphuric Acid, and other related chemicals
* Strong technical capability with attention to detail when reading drawings, templates, schematics, P&IDs, and related documentation
* Experience commissioning equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, progressive cavity pumps, actuators, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes
* Familiarity with instrumentation commonly used in the water sector, including level, flow, pressure, pH, chlorine, and turbidity
* Willingness to travel within Ireland as required
* Full clean driver’s licence

* Salary depending on experience and suitability
* Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays
* Standard Monday to Friday working week
