Meeting & Events Executive – 4★ Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare

Salary: €40,000

We are currently recruiting an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic Meeting & Events Executive for a well-established 4-star hotel in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven hospitality sales professional looking to progress their career within a busy and highly regarded property.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising all sales and revenue-generating opportunities, with a strong focus on developing and growing the hotel’s wedding, corporate, and events business, while also increasing local leisure revenue across food, beverage, and event offerings. You will work closely with the hotel’s marketing and revenue teams to achieve departmental and overall hotel budget targets.

The Role:

  • Full-time position, averaging 42.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7

  • Predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to work weekends when business demands

Main Duties:

  • Following up on all sales leads and enquiries, liaising with senior sales or management where appropriate

  • Scheduling and conducting site inspections with current and prospective clients

  • Monitoring service quality through client feedback and communicating insights to operational teams

  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports, including weekly sales activity reports for senior management

  • Monitoring competitor activity to ensure market competitiveness

  • Planning and organising FAM trips, site inspections, sales promotions, and representing the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and promotions

  • Attending on-site and off-site events as required

  • Building and maintaining relationships with local networking groups and trade bodies

  • Working closely with the marketing team to maximise local marketing opportunities in line with the Sales & Marketing plan

  • Planning and executing database marketing campaigns, including mail shots and e-zines, in collaboration with marketing and revenue teams

  • Handling all client enquiries via phone and email, ensuring prompt, professional responses and maximising conversion rates

  • Completing all sales administration, follow-ups, and research activities

  • Compiling, implementing, and proactively managing the hotel’s annual sales activity plan

  • Maximising the hotel’s market exposure while maintaining professional standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a hotel sales or events role

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage own workload and schedule effectively

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
