The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious luxury hotel in Galway to recruit an experienced and customer-focused Hotel Driver / Porter.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading 5-star hotel in a varied, guest-facing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing staff transport, porter services, and supporting the Front Office team to ensure an exceptional experience for guests while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.

The Role

As Hotel Driver / Porter, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service by transporting hotel staff safely, assisting guests with luggage and arrivals, and supporting the wider hotel operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transport for hotel staff between designated locations and the hotel.
• Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Assist guests with luggage and porter services.
• Support the Front Office team with guest arrivals, departures, and general guest requests.
• Maintain the hotel shuttle vehicle to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all road traffic legislation, health and safety procedures, and hotel policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to guests, visitors, and colleagues at all times.
• Assist with additional operational duties as required to support the hotel’s daily operation.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and is passionate about hospitality.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within the hospitality industry.
• Experience as a Hotel Driver, Porter, Concierge, or in a similar guest-facing role is desirable.
• Candidates with strong hospitality experience who are ready to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.
• A full, clean driving licence is essential.
• A Category D (Bus) driving licence is highly desirable.
• Candidates who do not currently hold a Category D licence will still be considered, provided they are committed to completing the hotel’s in-house training programme to obtain their Category D licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional appearance with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full legal permission to live and work in the Republic of Ireland.
