Healthcare Assistant (Disability Services)

Noel Group Healthcare are recruiting qualified Health Care Assistants to join our team supporting various facilities in the Waterford, Wexford & Kilkenny areas.

We are supplying staff to our clients on both a full and part time basis, with shifts available mornings, days, evenings, nights & weekends.

Excellent rates of pay plus night shift, Sundays & Public Holiday premiums.

All candidates must have completed:

• QQI Level 5 major award in Healthcare Support or Health Service Skills.
• Or ID Student Nurse completed 1st year.
• Or General Student completed 1st year with a Disability module.

In addition you will also have the following training certificates completed within the last 2 years:

• Manual & Patient Handling
• CPR & AED Training
• Hepatitis B Vaccines
• Hand Hygiene for Clinical Staff & Infection Prevention & Control
• Safe Guarding Vulnerable Adults
• Children First
• Experience in Working with people with disabilities

Successful Candidates must also be willing to undertake:

• Garda Vetting
• HACCP Level 2

Responsibilities:

• To carry out assigned responsibilities involving direct care and all activities of daily living.
• To maintain standards of personal hygiene, dietary intake, physical and mental health.
• To ensure that care is carried out in an empathetic manner and that dignity is respected.
• To assist with patients mobility, using appropriate moving equipment when needed.
• To maintain the confidentiality of all information made available.

Own vehicle highly desirable with a full clean Irish drivers licence.
