Noel Group is recruiting a Grade VII Committee Governance & Administration Lead on behalf of a leading public sector organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced governance, administration, or project coordination professional to take ownership of committee operations, stakeholder engagement, and governance processes within a high-profile committee environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting senior stakeholders, coordinating committee activities, managing documentation, and ensuring the smooth delivery of governance and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Committee Governance & Coordination
- Coordinate and support committee meetings and governance processes.
- Prepare, review and issue agendas, briefing materials and committee documentation.
- Draft and maintain briefing notes, chair updates and governance records.
- Ensure all committee documentation is accurate, quality assured and distributed within agreed timelines.
- Manage the publication and maintenance of committee records and associated documentation.
Working Group Coordination
- Schedule and support working group meetings.
- Prepare meeting records, monitor actions and ensure follow-up activities are progressed.
- Coordinate surveys and information requests to stakeholders.
- Collate, analyse and present findings from surveys and consultations.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers and committee updates.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with committee members, working group representatives and external stakeholders.
- Support senior management and committee chairs in managing committee business.
- Identify and escalate priority matters requiring discussion, approval or further action.
- Build effective working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Review committee and working group updates for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Ensure all documents are presented to a professional standard.
- Monitor document control processes and maintain accurate records.
- Manage committee correspondence and information requests.
Meeting Support
- Attend meetings and capture key decisions, actions and outcomes.
- Prepare meeting records and follow-up documentation.
- Track actions and ensure progress is monitored and reported.
- Support the planning and administration of future committee activities.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant experience supporting committees, boards, working groups or governance structures.
- Strong report writing, minute taking and document preparation skills.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and quality assure documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong record management practices.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

Desirable Experience
- Public sector or local government experience.
- Governance, compliance or corporate affairs experience.
