Food service assistant

Job description

Noel Group is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work at our client’s site in Dublin. As a kitchen assistant, you will be supporting kitchen team in daily food preparation procedures and maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking and looking to kick-start their career in the food industry.

This is a part-time role 20hr per week / Monday to Friday / 10.30am to 2.30pm shift

Responsibilities:

• Assist the chef in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, meats, and other food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and storing ingredients properly.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors.
• Ensure food hygiene and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Manage the front of the house and process till payments.
• Have a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently and keep calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chef to support the overall operation of the kitchen.

Requirements:

• A valid work permit is essential.
• Good level of English (verbal and written).
• Experience in food service or catering is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
• Calm demeanour and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
