Job description

As the F&B Duty Manager, you will be the orchestra conductor of our Food & Beverage operations during your shift. You’ll lead and motivate your team, ensure seamless service across all outlets, and maintain the high standards of hospitality that define our hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and event spaces. Ensure smooth service delivery, staff coordination, and guest satisfaction.
  • Be the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and concerns. Resolve issues promptly and professionally, exceeding expectations and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop your F&B team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure clear communication across all departments.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality across all F&B aspects, from food presentation and preparation to beverage service and cleanliness.
  • Manage staff scheduling and deployment, ensuring proper coverage for peak periods and special events. Assist with inventory management to minimise waste and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and adhere to established accounting procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are followed.
  • Generate reports and analyse data to identify areas for improvement in service, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, participate in strategic planning, and support team initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the F&B industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Proven track record of exceeding guest expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for food and beverage and a commitment to upholding high-quality standards.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in F&B management software is a plus.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a dedication to teamwork.
