Job description

Noel Group is seeking a dedicated and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of hard and soft services at our client site in Dublin 1. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all facilities services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and health & safety, while ensuring that all services meet contractual KPIs and SLAs.

The successful facilities manager will have strong technical expertise in managing modern office buildings, excellent customer relationship skills, and financial acumen, enabling them to take full responsibility for the site’s facilities operations. Reporting to the Account Manager, the Facilities Manager will play a crucial role in the daily operation, staff development, and service delivery at the site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily plant room inspections to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with on-site technicians to maintain building operations.
  • Manage and develop on-site teams, ensuring staff training and inductions are up to date.
  • Ensure a clean and presentable building in collaboration with the cleaning manager.
  • Implement and manage all planned and reactive maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
  • Supervise third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety protocols and service specifications.
  • Monitor financial performance, ensuring monthly reporting and budget compliance.
  • Conduct regular site audits to ensure service quality standards are maintained.
  • Oversee quality, environmental, and health & safety compliance, addressing audit action plans effectively.
  • Manage projects to completion, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and implement innovations to enhance service delivery and customer experience.
  • Participate in the 24/7 emergency on-call service as needed.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar facilities management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern office building services.
  • Formal health & safety qualification (IOSH or similar) is an advantage.
  • Technical trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and develop staff.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 is advantageous.
  • Strong IT, administration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive attitude.
  • English language proficiency, both written and verbal, is essential.
