Executive Officer (HR Service Centre) – Temporary
Location: Dublin / Salary: €34,023 (€18.69 per hour)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Office Based)

Overview
Our client, is seeking a Temporary Executive Officer to join their busy HR Service Centre team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused administrator looking to develop their HR experience within a large and dynamic university environment.
The HR Service Centre supports over 5,000 employees across the University and acts as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a professional and responsive service to staff and managers through face-to-face interactions, telephone and email correspondence, while supporting a wide range of HR administrative activities.
This position would suit someone with strong administrative experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to walk-in, telephone and email enquiries.
- Provide accurate HR information and guidance in line with policies and procedures.
- Support a wide range of HR administrative processes and activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Process HR transactions and ensure all records are updated correctly.
- Manage and prioritise multiple queries and tasks to meet deadlines.
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion at all times.
- Support the wider HR team during busy periods and service demands.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy administrative and/or customer service environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident interacting with people in person, by telephone and via email.
- Strong customer service focus with a professional, approachable and solution-oriented manner.
- Good IT literacy and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and take ownership of tasks.
- Sound judgement when handling confidential information.
- Flexible, reliable and committed to supporting the wider team.
