Location: Enniscrone, Co. Sligo
Salary: €40000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Duty Manager to join our management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards across all departments.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Duty Manager will be responsible for leading teams, managing guest relations, and ensuring the smooth running of the property during their shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel and ensure service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Lead, motivate, and support departmental teams across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Accommodation, and Events.
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to maintain quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Manage staffing levels and support departmental managers in workforce planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and company policies.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in achieving departmental budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls.
  • Prepare reports and communicate operational updates to senior management.
  • Take responsibility for opening, closing, and overall security of the property when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, Food & Beverage, and guest services.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent.
  • First Aid and Manual Handling certification (desirable).
  • Experience working within a busy hotel or resort environment.

Salary: €40,000 per annum (DOE)
