Position: Duty Manager
Location: North County Dublin
Industry: Hospitality (4* Hotel)
Salary: €36,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (including weekends and public holidays)

Overview
A busy 4-star hotel in North County Dublin is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join their management team. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel during shifts, ensuring high standards of service and efficient operations across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel in coordination with senior management.

  • Manage all aspects of the property while on duty, including up to 40 staff during busy shifts.

  • Maintain a hands-on approach in all areas where support is required.

  • Work closely with food & beverage teams to ensure quality service.

  • Conduct weekly stocktakes and assist with inventory control.

  • Support staff training and development programmes.

  • Drive sales initiatives in conjunction with the in-house sales team.

  • Ensure consistently high levels of guest service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within busy 3* or 4* hotels.

  • Strong knowledge of the food & beverage sector, including current trends and innovations.

  • HACCP trained.

  • Previous experience in food & beverage, conference, banqueting, and events operations.

  • Familiarity with hotel front office systems (advantageous).

  • First Aid certification desirable but not essential.

  • Strong people management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexible to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
