Digital Marketing Officer

Location: Blended working model (remote and flexible arrangements available) with a Dublin 1 office base
Salary: €57,949 (pro rata)
Annual Leave: 27 days (pro rata)
Working Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)

Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: Approx. 9 months
(This contract is to cover a period of leave. It may be extended if required; however, it may also terminate earlier depending on business needs.)

Reporting to: Manager, Digital Marketing

Job Purpose

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing professional to support the delivery of strategic digital initiatives across multiple channels.

The position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibility for B2C social media community management, email marketing, and digital content creation and distribution. The successful candidate will also support website optimisation and work closely with web development and design partners.

In addition, the role involves contributing to search (SEO/SEM), generative engine optimisation (GEO), and personalisation initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in social media and omnichannel content management, alongside experience in digital strategy execution, website management, performance analysis, and campaign optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Lead the development and implementation of an insight-led, omni-channel content strategy
  • Identify and deliver content initiatives aligned with organisational objectives
  • Define and guide the approach to content management across websites and social channels
  • Contribute to overall digital marketing strategy and execution
  • Support the development of SEO, SEM, and GEO activities
  • Contribute to personalisation strategy development and delivery

Operational

  • Manage ongoing (“always-on”) social media and email marketing activity
  • Oversee content optimisation across web platforms
  • Lead the planning and delivery of omni-channel content campaigns
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on performance metrics to support continuous improvement
  • Ensure all website content is accurate, user-focused, and optimised for search and engagement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Coordinate regular stakeholder meetings
  • Support administrative and budget management activities
  • Apply audience and performance insights to enhance digital initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar digital marketing role
  • Proven track record in social media management and online content delivery
  • Demonstrated success in improving performance through SEO and content marketing
  • Experience in website front-end maintenance and CMS management
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience in at least two of the following:

  • Omni-channel content development and delivery
  • Campaign execution across social, search, and email channels
  • Performance marketing and lead generation
  • A/B testing and personalisation using third-party tools
  • Website management and optimisation
  • Data-driven campaign optimisation
  • Social media management tools and platforms
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, CMS, and CRM marketing tools
  • Strong understanding of digital media and user engagement principles

Qualifications

  • A relevant professional qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework or equivalent) is required

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of the Irish tourism sector or similar industry experience
