Job Title: Deputy General Manager

About the Role:
Noel Group is delighted to partner with a leading four-star hotel and leisure destination in the West of Ireland to recruit an experienced Deputy General Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to join a well-established property renowned for its exceptional guest experience, strong food and beverage offering, conference and events business, and leisure facilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational excellence, team engagement, and commercial performance. The role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage multiple departments while driving service standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel.
- Lead daily operations across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Accommodation, Events, Leisure and Guest Services.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through consistent delivery of service excellence.
- Monitor and improve operational performance, service standards, and departmental efficiencies.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining cost controls and profitability targets.
- Lead, motivate, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Conduct regular management meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, payroll management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, employment legislation, and company policies.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives to maximise occupancy, conference, wedding, and leisure revenues.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Act as General Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years’ senior management experience within a hotel environment.
- Previous experience as Deputy General Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager, or similar senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of all hotel departments, particularly Food & Beverage and Rooms Division.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving guest satisfaction and operational improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of Irish hospitality legislation and compliance requirements.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak business periods as required.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
