Noel group is working with a thriving property in the heart of Kildare, with a strong events and banqueting operation, offering free on-site staff parking and excellent public transport links.
Role Overview
Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee all conference and banqueting activities. The role requires full flexibility across weekdays and weekends, with an immediate start required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, organisation, and management of all conference and banqueting activities
- Ensure all events are executed efficiently and to the highest standards
- Manage room setups, AV needs, catering, and service timelines
- Handle client feedback and manage conflict resolution during and after events
- Lead, motivate, recruit, and develop the banqueting team
- Develop staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage for all events
- Monitor revenue and expenditure, adjusting operations to meet financial targets
- Support the sales team with site inspections and client proposals
- Ensure all conference and banqueting spaces are equipped with modern AV, Wi-Fi, and amenities
- Maintain strong cross-departmental working relationships
- Stock control and management
Ideal Candidate
- 1-2 years’ experience in a senior conference, banqueting, or events role (hotel environment preferred)
- Proven experience managing large-scale events – weddings, corporate meetings, and banquets
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent client relationship management and customer service ability
- Ability to manage multiple events and prioritise effectively under pressure
- Full flexibility including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- High level of spoken and written English
