Commis Chef – Monday to Friday, Day Shifts – Kilkenny

We are currently recruiting a Commis Chef for a role based in Kilkenny.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for a better work-life balance, with Monday to Friday hours only and day shifts from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team in the preparation and service of high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with food preparation and cooking
• Supporting chefs with daily kitchen operations
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas
• Following HACCP and food safety procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen housekeeping
• Working efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team

What We’re Looking For

✅ Previous experience working in a professional kitchen

✅ Experience as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role

✅ Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices

✅ Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

✅ Ability to work well within a team

✅ Strong willingness to learn and develop culinary skills

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Day shifts only
