Job Title: Clerical Officer
Location: Navan
Contract Type: Full-time / 35 hours per week Rate of Pay: €17.03 per hour
Overview:
The Clerical Officer will provide high-quality administrative support, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day activities. The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence in using Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the team, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and document management.
- Process correspondence, emails, and internal communications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare, format, and update documents, reports, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring all information is kept up-to-date and compliant with data protection guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes when required.
- Support the coordination and delivery of internal processes, projects, and departmental tasks.
- Manage queries from staff, students, and external stakeholders in a professional and helpful manner.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support the efficient running of the department.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, ideally within an education or public sector environment.
- Experience managing confidential or sensitive information.
